Below is a list of every ingredient we use across our products.
Almond Oil (Sweet) – Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil
Obtained from the dried kernel of the almond tree, almond oil is rich in vitamins and great for the skin.
Avocado Oil – Persea Gratissima Oil contains Vitamins A, B1, B2, D, E, and Beta carotene and is an excellent skin mousturiser.
Beeswax – Cera Alba Wax – We use this as a thickener, emulsifier, or stiffening agent in various products. It also has excellent moisturising properties and is one of the few waxes that do.
Carnauba Wax – Carnauba wax is exuded from the leaves of the Brazilian palm tree known as Copernica Cerifera. The tree is also referred to as the “Tree of Life” since local Brazilians use its produce for many uses and to meet multiple necessities. – this wax is a potent and useful thickener.
Coconut Oil – Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil
Obtained from coconuts, this rich and thin oil has uses from cooking to cosmetics and is used in our products for its moisturizing capabilities.
Essential Oils – A natural oil typically obtained by distillation and having the characteristic odour of the plant or other source from which it is extracted. We typically use these to add a scent or fragrance to our products.
Jojoba Oil – Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil
Our favourite carrier oil, Jojoba oil (pronouced hoh-hoh-buh) is obtained from the seeds of the shrub Simmondsia Chinensis. This oil is rich in vitamins and is the perfect oil for healthy skin and hair.
Olive Oil – Olea Europaea (Olive) Oil
Olive Oil is obtained by cold pressing whole olives and extracting the oil. The oil is most commonly used in cooking but is an incredibly moisturizing carrier oil.
Palm Oil – We use Palm Oil in only one of our products. Body Soap. Palm Oil plays an important role in hardening our bars and creating a nice thick lather. We use ONLY sustainably sourced Palm Oil.
Shea Butter – Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter
Shea Butter is a luxurious and moisturizing butter obtained from the nut of the Vitellaria paradoxa tree. It is rich in vitamins, minerals, and fatty acids.
